LANG PIONEER VILLAGE
Village of restored pioneer buildings with family activities year round. Staff dressed in period costumes. Farm animals.

WHETUNG OJIBWA CENTRE
Art gallery and native arts and crafts from across Canada. Small but interesting local museum and seasonal native cafe. Located in Curve Lake First Nation. Annual Curve Lake PowWow in September - beautiful regalia and traditional PowWow dance of many First Nations in a spectacular forested setting on the lake.

PETERBOROUGH RIVERVIEW PARK & ZOO
Large children's playground and wading pool. Stroller friendly. Great place for a picnic or to bring the kids for a day of fun. Scale model reproduction steam train that takes passengers around the park and over a hydro dam also big hit with the kids.

PETERBOROUGH CENTENNIAL MUSEUM
Regional museum with local historic artifacts as well as host to both local and travelling themed exhibits. Many special workshops and family programs including star gazing during the summer months.

ZIMART'S RICE LAKE GALLERY
Founded in 2000, ZimArt's Rice Lake Gallery represents over 50 Zimbabwean stone sculptors. Their work is on display in a beautiful natural oasis overlooking Rice Lake and the Northumberland Hills Gallery visitors can stroll around the gallery on self-guided tours, drink an espresso under a safari tent, picnic under a tree or a tent, birdwatch or count frogs in the pond, read up on background material about this art movement and even meet one of the artists. During much of the summer season the artist-in-residence, visiting from Zimbabwe, is on site teaching workshops or talking and demonstrating to gallery visitors.
